How to Run Your Blog
Recently, blogging has taken a very important place in people's lives, crowding out many other hobbies. Blogs are run by young mothers and elderly ladies, office workers and leading experts, writers and journalists, business owners and artists.
I decided to find and make a list of those bonuses that blogging gives us and find out why people blog and what is the reason for their popularity.
Why blog?
The most common reasons for blogging are:
1. Blog for online earnings
It's no secret that many blogs emerge as a way to make money online. Someone is planning to start a blog to make money on advertising, someone is selling articles and reviews, and someone is trying to increase their income through affiliate links and programs.
Depending on the development and monetization strategy chosen, a blog can be either a unique author's project with useful articles and interesting materials, or a catalog of articles rewritten from other sites without any additional value for the reader.
2. Blog as an additional advertising platform for business
A corporate blog of a large firm, a designer's portfolio, a freelancer's personal blog or a cozy handmade store - all of these resources have a common goal - to increase your visibility on the Internet, establish contact with potential buyers and increase sales of goods and services.
The Internet is now taking more and more space in our daily lives and is becoming not just one of the additional channels for attracting customers, but for many businesses it is their main source.
Well, soon, according to the forecast of Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, soon we will completely stop noticing that we are “going online”, and the Internet will become for us the same integral and constant part of our life as electricity or a mobile phone has already become.
In addition, employers have recently shown great interest in the personal blogs of potential employees. After all, a blog is not only a beautiful and very detailed resume, and an opportunity to get to know even a stranger better than in any interview.
3. Blogging as a hobby
For many, a blog becomes a real outlet and an opportunity to do what they love. As a rule, in this case, the goal of earning is not the main one, but rather, it becomes a pleasant addition.
The subject of such blogs can be completely different, and most often it doesn’t exist at all - a “personal blog” and that says it all.
A variation of hobby blogging is a personal diary. In this case, the author uses his blog, also to express his thoughts, save a photo or save a link he likes as a keepsake.
