Born in Moscow, in a family originally from the Kuban. He is a hereditary scientist in the second generation. According to her, the presence of the military in the pedigree gave her a lot of life discipline.

By education - a linguist, Celtologist, Indo-Europeanist, specialist in Celtic languages. Candidate of Philological Sciences (dissertation: Nikolaeva N. A. Thematization of the presence of a strong verb in the Celtic and Germanic languages (on the material of Old Irish and Gothic). Spec. 10.02.04. 2003

Until 2014, she was also a senior researcher (formerly a lecturer) at the Department of Germanic and Celtic Philology at Moscow State University (Irish), previously she taught at Trinity College (University) in Dublin (Ireland). Natalia O'Shea speaks Irish, English, French, Danish. In his concert activities, in addition to Irish, he performs songs in other less common languages of the Celtic group - Gaelic (Scottish) and Welsh.

Since 2004, he has been constantly living in Europe, periodically visiting Russia to participate in concerts of the Melnitsa group and solo performances.

On the professional stage since 1998. She is one of the most popular vocalists of the Russian folk-rock scene of the beginning of the new century, a cult singer-songwriter among the youth of Moscow and St. Petersburg, especially among participants in the role-playing movement. Helavisa's songs, freely distributed via the Internet, won the recognition of listeners in many cities of Russia and abroad.

On August 21, 2004, she married James Cornelius O'Shea, an Irish citizen, at that time a cultural attaché of the Irish Embassy in Moscow. On July 22, 2008, their daughter, Nina Katrina O'Shea, was born in Geneva, and on April 15, 2011, their second daughter, Una Tamar O'Shea, was born there.

Natalia is actively engaged in the design of fashionable clothes and accessories.

In the Mitzi Dupree Fashion Workshop, together with Natalia Lapkina, collections of accessories are created - rings, scarves, stoles, famous mitzi - corsets and belts.
