Blog about Life in the USA
Before flying to America, we, like many people planning to move, diligently studied the blogs and videos on youtube of already established immigrants. These were optimistic articles and videos, the authors of which traveled around the city and spoke in voice-over about their lives from the first days or sitting in front of the Statue of Liberty or the Hollywood sign, telling about their successes and how they liked everything from the first days. They succeeded. And with the thought that everything will work out for us, we inspiredly set off to meet a new life.
Perhaps we didn’t finish reading or didn’t finish watching something, or someone kept silent about something or didn’t say anything, but we couldn’t start with such an unburdened life in America. Yes, there were beautiful landscapes and world symbols of the United States and great weather, but we could not afford to admire it for a minute, because. we had nowhere to live. The hotel took a lot of money, and it was not so easy to find a roof over your head, even if you had the amount for rent for a year in advance (read the multi-day history of finding housing in the USA and how we almost became Los Angeles bums), but we were promised that it is easy to find. But from whom to take the demand? From bloggers or from friends who disappeared somewhere in an instant. Due to the language barrier and mental misunderstandings, we may have delayed the search for an apartment, so we recommend that you first learn the language in your homeland in order to simply find a roof over your head. Just recently we saw Natasha Cooper's Online Training "When Can We Move In?" where they found everything that Natasha talks about, that we punched with our noses, getting bitter experience in search of an apartment.
