Financial Blog
Some time ago, investing in financial instruments was not considered a conservative method of generating income, such as investing in foreign currency or a bank deposit (deposit). Today, the trend is changing – high technologies are starting to rule the world in finance, programs and robots help brokers, the role of big data and complex tools for processing colossal amounts of information is growing. However, all this does not cancel the base - basic knowledge and skills, understanding the structure of investing in assets. And even more so, it is the knowledge of the basics that a private investor needs. Interaction with a broker is working in conjunction with a professional market participant who helps to make decisions, understand trends and analyze them - sooner or later this will give a synergistic effect.
Today we decided to create a small educational program for newcomers to the financial market and those who want to learn a little more about it.
Private investor: upgrade skills
First of all, it is necessary to assess the financial possibilities of private investment. For trial experiments, you can start with very little capital, but to get income you need to start with a larger amount. We will form an investment portfolio using the My Broker Android application.
The funds invested should not be the last or a significant part of the savings of a private investor. This is due not so much to the possible risks of diversification as to the timing of investment. Investing in financial instruments is a long-term operation, so it is better to use the money that you plan to save and increase.
The next important step is to properly allocate capital. You need to combine several instruments: for example, investments in assets and currencies. Within each investment portfolio, funds also need to be distributed.
It is best to start with basic securities (stocks, bonds of companies), derivatives are usually more complex and risky. The main securities of large companies are more predictable in the long term, liquid and reliable. Another advantage of such assets is the dividends that are paid to the holders of securities. This is an additional income to the investment income from the portfolio. Consider such a portfolio in My Broker.
For example, with a minimum experience, the amount of 300,000 rubles, an investment period of more than three years and minimal risk, the application offers to form a portfolio of shares of issuers: 22% of the Alrosa diamond concern, 55% of the Norilsk Nickel mining and metallurgical complex, 22% of the Magnit retailer .
With a minimum experience, an amount of 300,000 rubles, an investment period of up to 1 year and an already weighted risk strategy, the shares of the same issuers in the portfolio change: 45% of the Alrosa diamond concern, 27% of the MMC Norilsk Nickel, 27% of the retailer Magnit.
Indeed, if we turn to the dynamics of issuers, the strategies are confirmed: a more profitable and risky portfolio includes more risky assets.
